SUCCESS - Odyssey Outreach, "Musical Joke in Carnival of the Animals"

Flutist Kristine Poulsen, cellist Matthew Pierce and I had an AMAZING fun in "Odyssey Outreach," this time for kids at Child Development Center at First Baptist Church on January 22, Wednesday at 12:15pm. In a 30+ min. live performance of selected pieces from Saint-Saens ever popular work, we successfully entertained approx. 40 children of ages 3-5 with corresponding projected images and age-appropriate discussions about music - such as, why the composer did not assign flute as the designated instrument for an elephant, and why this particular elephant in the carnival wanted to dance.
