I am always thrilled whenever Plowman competition is on the horizon, but wait 'til April 2013 - we are pulling all the stops to make 2013 Plowman Festival your unforgettable weekend destination!
Co-presented by Odyssey (that's us), First Baptist Church, the University of Missouri School of Music and Missouri Symphony Society, 2013 Plowman Competition will be Competition AND Festival, featuring not just one, but TWO judges in a recital and a lecture too. The 2013 Plowman Judges are: Frederic Chiu, piano Randy Gardner, horn Peter Wiley, violoncello An outline of schedule: April 4 (Thu) 7pm at First Baptist Church (FBC) - Plowman Commencement and Frederic Chiu, piano April 5 (Fri) 7pm at FBC - Odyssey & the New Music Initiative present the Verdehr Trio April 6 (Sat) 9:30am-5:30pm at FBC - Plowman Semi-Finals (15 ensembles) April 7 (Sun) 1:30pm at Missouri Theatre - Plowman Finals Concert * Awards Ceremony venue TBA April 8 (Mon) 7pm - Plowman and other sponsors TBA present Peter Wiley, cello and Anna Polonsky, piano There will be lectures and master classes scheduled throughout the long weekend.
