Odyssey places our community on the map with prominent national events like Plowman Chamber Music Competition, and celebrates diversity with original programming including "The Evolution of the African American Spiritual," "Sankofa Project," and "Kids@Heart" concerts.
We love what we do, performing and supporting musicians like us. FACT - Arts organizations like Odyssey cannot sustain itself without YOUR support. Donation Link will be open beginning December 1-31st, including "Giving Tuesday." Your timely gifts could also help us secure extra grant from the Columbia Foundation! (Dates & Times to be announced.) In December, consider donating to Odyssey, either the directly to us (check payable to "Odyssey" and mail to 1112 E Broadway, Columbia, MO 65201), or, through CoMoGives: https://www.comogives.com/organization/Odyssey-Chamber-Music-Series Thank you! |

A very generous donor has donated the painting from the 2017 Plowman to be auctioned again to benefit Odyssey Chamber Music Series!
Odyssey commissions original artwork from a local artist to be featured in Plowman Chamber Music Competition posters, which are distributed nationwide. 2017 artist is Naomi Sugino Lear, art professor from Columbia College, who also used to play a woodwind instrument. Her artist statement will follow (below). The painting is framed in a black floating frame with gold trim. Size is approximately 26.5 in. height x 32.5 in. wide, including the frame. The painting has been signed and varnished. (Note: This picture was taken before it was varnished.) The actual painting contains bright burgundy reds and has lush luster which would compliment any home very well. |
